Launching Our Webinar Series for Student Volunteering Week

With Student Volunteering Week fast approaching from 8th-15th February, at Student Hubs we’re excited to share our plans for the rest of the academic year which involve the launch of a brand new webinar series!

Why webinars?

Our vision and mission is all about engaging students and supporting the mainstreaming of student social action. We recognise that as an organisation and a network of Hubs operating at different universities, we have the capacity to support the skill development of not only our Hub students, but students across the UK. We also want to do more to support and facilitate engagement with our colleagues who are working with students, engaging with student volunteers, and those in the charity sector.

Because of this, from Student Volunteering Week in February, we will be delivering two webinars a month up until June, with one training session per month aimed at students, and one per month aimed at staff at universities, individuals who work with student volunteers, or colleagues in the charity sector.

Webinar pricing

We look forward to engaging with students and staff as part of our new webinar series. Across the term, our webinars for students will be free of cost, with an option for students to donate if they have the means to do so.

For our staff webinars, from March our sessions are £10 per ticket, with all proceeds going to support our work as a charity. If you are a regular monthly donor to Student Hubs, you will be able to receive a 30% discount on staff training, making tickets £7 each, but you will need to confirm this via email with Fiona Walsh, our Sales Director first (see her email below).

Fiona Walsh

Fiona is Student Hubs' Sales Director. She leads on university sales, alumni and corporate fundraising, marketing strategy and external relations. Fiona started her social action journey as a student volunteer with Southampton Hub.
