Schools Plus trains student volunteers to act as tutors in primary and secondary schools, supporting them to tackle the impact of educational disadvantage. 95% of schools we worked with last year felt that our student volunteers added capacity to their organisations and the students have enjoyed it as well!

It has been extremely rewarding seeing the children’s confidence grow over the sessions and their skills improve. When you leave the session, you feel that you have positively impacted someone’s life and the teachers supervising were saying how much the kids looked forward to us visiting. They were lovely children and I feel very happy that I was able to help them improve their reading whilst learning how to work well with children of that age”
